Honey Almond Granola

This simple honey almond granola is one of my favorite things to keep on hand. The honey makes it super crunchy, while the cinnamon adds just enough warmth. I love putting it on homemade yogurt for an easy breakfast, or just grabbing a handful as a snack.

Honey Almond Granola

Prep: 5 minutesCook: 20 minutesTotal: 25 minutesServings: About 2 cups

Ingredients

  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/16 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 2

In a bowl, combine the oats, sliced almonds, salt, vegetable oil, honey, and cinnamon. Stir until everything is evenly coated.

  3. 3

Spread the mixture evenly over the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, stirring the granola every 5 minutes to ensure it cooks evenly and doesn't burn.

  4. 4

Remove from the oven and let the granola cool completely on the baking sheet. It will not be crispy when it first comes out of the oven, it will crisp up as it cools.

Lauren's Note

  • Be sure to stir the granola every 5 minutes while it's baking. The honey can cause it to brown quickly, so this helps prevent it from burning while still giving you that deliciously crunchy texture.
